🎯 POWERing Up: Mid-Year Goal Check-In

We’re officially halfway through 2025, and our team isn’t slowing down. From certifications to content wins, client growth to intern training, every member of the POWER crew has made major strides toward their goals.
Rocco led internal trainings on Excel and paid ad reporting, onboarded a new web developer, and pulled key insights from Traction to improve our systems.
Zoe leaned into professional development, completing LinkedIn Learning courses in social, email, and WordPress, while also representing POWER at 5+ networking events and co-developing over 15 intern trainings.
Erica stepped into new client work, reduced back-and-forth on content calendars, and sharpened her skills in content creation with dynamic video and carousel posts.
Marissa earned her Meta 100-101 certification, drove stronger performance in Google and Meta ads, and built intern training resources now being used across the company.
Ayza grew her confidence in client communication, led onboarding conversations, and deepened her understanding of market research by reading Subliminal.
Garrett embraced the challenge of new responsibilities, focusing on learning from experience and using each opportunity to level up.
The progress made in just six months reflects our team’s drive, adaptability, and commitment to learning. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far and even more excited for what’s next.
🎓 Intern Update: What Have Our Interns Been Working On

This summer’s intern class continues to impress with their dedication, creativity, and hands-on contributions to the POWER team. Over the past month, they’ve taken on meaningful client work and strategic projects that are making a real impact. From building out full social media content calendars to auditing Google and Meta ad campaigns, and even creating their own, they’ve embraced every challenge with curiosity and confidence. In addition to platform execution, they’ve been documenting their learning in blog articles, reflecting on the lessons and experiences that are shaping their growth as marketers.
They’re not just focused on the now; they’re also thinking ahead. As part of their learning, interns have been attending AI lectures and trainings, gaining a deeper understanding of how emerging tools will shape the future of marketing. Perhaps most exciting, they recently pitched their own “wild & wacky” ideas during a full-team brainstorming session, showing that they’re not just absorbing knowledge, they’re applying it to help push POWER forward. With a mix of creativity, initiative, and strategic thinking, this intern team is proving they’re ready to lead.
📊 Case Study: From 12% to 27.27% Conversion Rate Without Increasing Spend

When a home services client came to us looking for stronger results on Google, we knew we had to act strategically. Instead of throwing more budget at the problem, we optimized for performance. By pausing underperforming keywords, restructuring headlines to improve alignment, and implementing a target CPA model, we unlocked measurable growth in just 30 days:
Conversion rate increased from 12% to 27.27%
CPA dropped by 59.9%
Conversions more than doubled from 6 to 15
Spending stayed flat (up just 0.24%)
This isn’t just a story about better numbers; it’s a testament to what smart strategy, clear focus, and constant refinement can do.
🏆 Client Feature: MOWtivation

We’re proud to spotlight MOWtivation, a passionate local team dedicated to keeping Pittsburgh lawns clean, fresh, and full of curb appeal. Their focus on quality service and community pride sets them apart in the home services space.
We support MOWtivation with website development and ad hoc technical support, helping them maintain a strong online presence while they continue delivering top-tier service on the ground. It’s a privilege to help a business that cares so deeply about its customers and its city.
💡 Industry Tip: The Power Behind a Purposeful Name

When launching POWER over three years ago, founder Colton Hower didn’t start with a long branding strategy or a vision board. What he did have was a strong sense of what he wanted the brand to represent. He sought a name that would communicate strength, unity, and trust, something businesses of all types could feel proud to be aligned with.
Rather than leaning on initials or a personal name, Colton looked for something that could grow beyond him, yet still felt personal. Inspired by his last name and tight-knit family roots, he searched for a word that could mirror those values while also signaling competitiveness, clarity, and collaboration. That’s how POWER was born, a brand name grounded in personal meaning but designed for broad impact.
The takeaway? The best brand names don’t just sound good, they stand for something. When you lead with purpose, your name becomes more than a label; it becomes a magnet for like-minded clients, partners, and talent.

📚 What We’re Learning: Training by Flowly.AI’s Jordan Best

We recently hosted a team-wide training session led by Jordan Best, Founder & CEO of Flowly.AI, who shared a deep dive into the current state and trajectory of artificial intelligence. Jordan emphasized that “AI is not the future. It is absolutely the present,” and emphasized the urgency for businesses and marketers to embrace AI or risk falling behind.
We explored the different forms of AI available today, discussed the present state of AI and where it's heading, and were introduced to and saw a live demo of BotPress in action. Jordan offered a bold outlook on what’s ahead, predicting a complete shift in customer service over the next 3–5 years as AI continues to scale. His key message: AI isn’t replacing humans, it’s enhancing their capabilities.
We left the session energized, informed, and more equipped to leverage AI in our own strategies.
