🎯 The Standard is the Standard

Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin is known for his wild and wacky quotes, but one of his most enduring mantras is: “The standard is the standard.” While it began in the Steelers’ locker room, it’s a powerful reminder for any team or business.

Every organization has a standard, a set of expectations that defines how they operate and win. That standard isn’t just about performance metrics; it’s about culture, accountability, and alignment. It’s the shared understanding that keeps everyone moving in the same direction, regardless of challenges or changes.

When your team lives by its standard, it creates consistency, builds trust, and fuels long-term success. In other words, the standard doesn’t change when times get tough, if anything, that’s when it matters most.

We believe in investing in talent from the very beginning, and this summer, we’ve seen that commitment pay off in a big way. We welcomed five interns who proved their skills, drive, and passion for marketing. Now, they’ve officially joined our team, each bringing unique strengths to help our clients grow.

  • Dylan Sullivan, Marketing Strategy Specialist: From developing and executing advertising campaigns to competitor analysis, ad optimizations, and Google Business Profile updates, Dylan turns strategy into measurable results.

  • Lauren Miller, Digital Media Specialist: A creative powerhouse, Lauren builds content calendars, runs email campaigns, manages websites, and keeps social media engaging and on-brand.

  • Mia Dorsey, Advertising & Analytics Specialist: Mia ensures campaigns run smoothly with in-depth reporting, quality assurance checks, and market research that keeps performance high.

  • Nick Simpson, Digital Media Specialist: Nick keeps campaigns consistent and impactful through content calendars, reporting, and boosted post management.

  • Raegan Best, Digital Media & Analytics Specialist: A blend of creativity and analytics, Raegan handles everything from campaign development and ad optimizations to graphic design and social media engagement.

Each of these team members started as an intern, but through hard work, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence, they’ve grown into essential parts of the POWER team. Growth isn’t just possible, it’s encouraged and celebrated.

📊 Case Study: Expanding Reach with Precision Advertising

ree

When a tutoring franchise came to us, their challenge was twofold: attract more parents in need of academic support and generate leads from entrepreneurs interested in opening a franchise. To grow on both fronts, they needed cost-efficient advertising that delivered visibility and action.

We launched a digital strategy built on precise targeting and tailored messaging. Parents saw trusted, expert tutors ready to help their children succeed, while potential franchisees saw the value of joining a purpose-driven brand. By continuously monitoring performance and refining the campaigns, we ensured every dollar worked harder.

The results spoke for themselves: 233,896 impressions, 3,074 clicks, and a $0.75 cost per click, expanding awareness while keeping costs low. This case shows

💡 Industry Tip: New Updates, New Opportunities

ree

Instagram’s latest rollout is here, and we’re already putting it to the test. The platform has introduced three new features aimed at reengaging users and sparking more friend-to-friend interaction:

  1. Reposts: You can now share Reels, posts, and carousels directly to your feed. They’ll appear in your followers’ feeds and in a new “Reposts” tab on your profile. For our clients, this opens fresh opportunities to spotlight community content and highlight UGC in a way that feels native and authentic.

  2. Friends Map: A new way to see where your friends are and what they’re up to, building more personal, location-based connections.

  3. Friends Tab in Reels: A dedicated feed showing the Reels your friends have liked, commented on, or engaged with, making discovery feel more personal and relevant.

While not every update warrants a major strategy shift, the right ones can move the needle. We’re testing these tools with select clients to see how they can drive visibility, amplify community voices, and create touchpoints that go beyond standard posting. The goal is simple: leverage the features that actually help brands connect and get seen.

📚 What We’re Learning: Ayza’s Learning Conference

ree

Ayza recently participated in GenHERation® Connection 2025, earning a spot as one of just 300 students nationwide selected for this high-impact professional development experience. Over the course of the week, she engaged with 75+ executives from 50+ companies, including Google, Netflix, Mattel, and Hartford Funds, and collaborated on real-world strategy solutions.

Her top takeaways?

  1. Learning is lifelong: Ayza left with 30+ book and podcast recommendations, reinforcing that the best leaders are always reading, listening, and absorbing.

  2. Listen, communicate, and understand the “why”: Asking better questions leads to a deeper understanding of yourself, your team, and your audience.

  3. Embody the C’s: Be Curious. Be Creative. Be Courageous. In the words of Debbie Phillips, Ph.D., CPM, these traits fuel innovation and leadership.

From strategic thinking to personal growth, this experience showed the power of surrounding yourself with big thinkers and bold ideas. We’re proud to have Ayza bring these insights back to the team, and we can’t wait to see how she applies them to our work.
